Jill Burkee begins making jewelry at the age of 12 selling at the local jeweler,
Alpine Jewelers, in her hometown of Aspen, Colorado. Attends the University
of Washington and at 21 receives grant to continue her studies and work in
Europe. Moves to Pietrasanta, Italy, and New York City where she begins life-
long collaboration-in-the-arts with Italian artist Giancarlo Biagi.
